As a longtime educator, Avenues parent, and member of the admissions team, Jenna Rosenblum brings more than a decade of firsthand experience at Avenues to every family she meets. Since joining Avenues in 2013, she has served in a variety of roles across the Early Learning Center, including Kindergarten Teacher and Learning Specialist, developing a deep understanding of the student experience and the close partnership between school and home.

A native New Yorker, Jenna attended The Dalton School from kindergarten through 12th grade before earning a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Boston University and an M.A. in Literacy Education from New York University. She is passionate about helping families discover the exceptional learning experiences and strong sense of belonging that make Avenues such a special place.

In her role on the admissions team, Jenna enjoys guiding prospective families through the admissions process and helping them feel welcomed, informed, and confident as they get to know the Avenues community. As the parent of a child in Avenues' Spanish immersion program, she also brings a personal perspective on the school's partnership with families and on her experience choosing Avenues for her own family.

Miscandy first joined Avenues in 2017 as the administrative coordinator in the Upper Division and has served as executive assistant to the head of school since 2021. A native Spanish speaker born in the Dominican Republic, she brings a multicultural perspective and deep appreciation for the diverse backgrounds of the families we serve.

Throughout her time at Avenues, Miscandy has built meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues while helping to foster a welcoming and inclusive community. One of the highlights of her tenure has been serving as faculty advisor to the student-led Women of Color Association for more than four years.

With more than 15 years of experience in educational administration, Miscandy is excited to support prospective families throughout the admissions process, helping them feel welcomed, informed, and connected to the Avenues community.

Jane Kaiser is the admissions coordinator at Avenues and a 2018 alumna of Avenues New York. Born and raised in New York City, Jane earned a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College. While at Barnard, she served as a teaching assistant in Developmental and Introductory Psychology, conducted research focused on memory and early childhood development, and worked with the renowned Barnard Center for Toddler Development.

Following graduation, Jane spent three years at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy, where she managed clinical intakes, scheduling, family communications, marketing, and research support. She also gained hands-on experience working with young children through both classroom teaching and research settings, most recently serving as a teacher in a 2s/3s classroom at Chelsea Day School.

Jane serves as a primary point of contact for prospective families, guiding them through the admissions process, coordinating campus visits, and answering questions about the school. She helps ensure families feel informed, supported, and connected throughout their admissions journey.

As an Avenues alumna—and the school's first full-time alumni hire—Jane brings a unique perspective and firsthand understanding of the student experience. Having once been an Avenues student herself, she is uniquely positioned to help families learn about the school, its community, and the opportunities that await their children.
