The Avenues Promise

The Avenues Promise
The Avenues Promise to prospective families includes:
- A commitment to meet your family’s demonstrated financial need at the time of admission and through graduation.
- Need entirely met through scholarships that families do not need to pay back.
- Admitted families earning less than $100k annually, with typical assets, will pay no more than $5k annually to attend Avenues.
- Admitted families earning less than $300k annually, with typical assets, will pay no more than $30k annually to attend Avenues.
- Many admitted families with annual incomes over $300k, with typical assets, may qualify for partial need-based scholarship depending on the number of children in tuition-charging schools and other context.
We invite you to apply for financial aid at the same time you apply for admission.
Admitted students and families receive their scholarship offer with their offer of admission. Please visit our financial aid page to learn more about our need-based financial aid program and how to apply.

Frequently asked questions
Will my child continue to receive financial aid from year to year, including aid to cover tuition increases?
We renew grants based on a family’s demonstrated financial need. Therefore, families must annually update a report of their income, assets, and debts via the Clarity financial aid application. We remain committed to partnering with families to finance an independent school education, but recognize that a family’s ability to contribute toward tuition may increase or decrease depending on their annual reporting. With no change in financial profile, a family can expect their parent contribution toward tuition to increase slightly each year, typically equal to the percentage increase in tuition.

We recognize that unfortunate events can affect a family’s ability to contribute to tuition, and Avenues will work with families to develop a financing plan. If your child does not receive a financial aid award and your family cannot afford to finance full tuition for the remaining years, we strongly recommend that your child not enroll.
Families can take steps to ensure confidentiality. Your family should use school-established channels for submitting an application, as well as disputing or appealing a financial aid decision. Additionally, your family should respect confidentiality by not disclosing financial aid outcomes to any other community members.
