After-School Explorers Program
Explorers, Avenues’ after-school program, offers a wide array of exciting on-campus activities after the school day ends. Many of the world’s greatest scientists, artists, athletes, and mathematicians got their start early, exploring their curiosity and passion outside of formal schooling. Inspired by these changemakers, we curated opportunities for students to follow their curiosity, excel in their passions, and have fun while doing it.
Specialty Classes
Offered to nursery through 5th grade, Monday through Friday. Classes cover a wide variety of topics, including art, dance, STEAM, sports, and more.
Stay and Play
Our after-school care for students in nursery through 5th grade. Activities include arts and crafts, group games, and outdoor play. Offered five days a week from dismissal to 5:15 p.m., with entirely flexible enrollment — families may enroll students on a daily or multi-day basis.
Private Music Lessons
Available to students in pre-K through 12th grade, taught by both Avenues music teachers and instructors from The Practice Room, offering a wider variety of instruments, including trumpet, saxophone, violin, guitar, flute, clarinet, piano, drums, voice, and more.
Chess Team
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to join after meeting with a chess coach to determine tournament readiness. Joining is a commitment: team members attend chess team training every Friday, regular weekend tournaments on campus, and four additional major tournaments each year.
