Early childhood at Avenues is full of joy, exploration, and discovery–and unfolds entirely in English. Comprising nursery, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and grade 1, the lower primary program fosters global citizenship, social-emotional development, and a love of learning.

At Avenues, students don’t just learn a second language, they live it. In nursery, pre-k, and kindergarten, students benefit from 100% English language immersion, supported by two fully qualified teachers per classroom. Portuguese is introduced in grade 1.

Wellness and Movement (WAM) is our signature health and physical education program. Through WAM, we ensure that every student builds a foundation for life-long fitness and wellness, including mental health, nutrition and mindfulness.
DUAL DIPLOMA
An integrated Brazilian program
We take Brazilian educational standards as seriously as we do international ones. From grade 1 onwards, we incorporate the Brazilian national curricular components of Portuguese into our language program, and distribute Brazil-specific content from other subjects across our curriculum. Having attained balanced mastery of both languages by graduation, all students are awarded both a Brazilian and an American diploma.
