ATHLETICS AND MOVEMENT

Fostering healthy habits to last a lifetime

From the early years until graduation, our Wellness and Movement (WAM) program fosters the foundation of lifelong physical and mental health. We also offer a wide variety of athletic activities and teams, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading.

EXPLORERS PROGRAM

A rich menu of 100+ after-school activities

Our Explorers program offers a wide range of after-school clubs and courses for students of all ages. Whether students wish to learn a new skill, sport, instrument, or language, there is something for everyone. Activities include jiu-jitsu, carpentry, choir, and classes in Mandarin Chinese.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Opening the door to rewarding careers

Our apprenticeship program directly connects grade 12 students with businesses in a variety of industries, allowing them to gain authentic work experience before leaving school. In their work placements, students develop new skills while building valuable connections.

UPPER GRADES ELECTIVES

Personalized pathways to advanced learning

In grades 9–12, we offer 30+ advanced electives, allowing students to learn in extraordinary depth and shape their own bold path to college. Options include economics, journalism, filmmaking, coding, multivariable calculus, advanced science, and many more.

Our Secondary Division student ambassadors make us proud. They represent Avenues in a range of important contexts, from giving campus tours to families considering Avenues to welcoming new students to campus during orientation.

Amplifying student voices and shaping campus life

Originally created as a student project, Stuco brings together elected representatives from the upper grades to share ideas, raise concerns, and help shape campus life. Council members build leadership skills while working to strengthen school spirit and enrich the student experience.

Students at Avenues São Paulo have access to a range of global experiences, from campus exchange programs with Avenues New York to annual opportunities to compete and collaborate with peers from Nord Anglia’s network of schools across the Americas.

CAMPUS EXCHANGE

Life and learning at Avenues New York

A global learning experience unique to Avenues, campus exchange enables students in grades 4 and 5 to travel to New York and spend time learning at Avenues’ second campus. Students work with their peers on projects, build cross-cultural friendships, and enjoy immersion in New York City life.

Collaborate and connect across the Nord Anglia network

Students in grade 6 and above have annual opportunities to compete and showcase their talents with peers from Nord Anglia’s network of schools in the region. Events include the Global Games, the STEAM Festival, and the Performing Arts Festival.
