Upper Primary

Immersion continues from lower primary, with most instruction in English. As students expand their vocabularies, we support them to use English as a vehicle for deep interdisciplinary learning. We also foster bilingualism with Portuguese language classes.

We pair the pedagogy of inquiry with project-based learning to spark curiosity and build critical thinking skills. Students dive into project work with confidence and excitement, motivated by a desire to expand their knowledge and solve complex problems.

We take a balanced literacy approach to English, combining phonics with “whole language” strategies to develop strong and independent readers and writers. Through differentiated instruction, we provide personalized support to each student.

Our 1:1 iPad program enables students to access knowledge and consolidate learning with enriching age-appropriate activities. Technology is thoughtfully integrated into classroom projects to deepen understanding and strengthen collaboration, amplifying student voice and fostering creativity, problem-solving, and responsible digital citizenship.

Wellness and Movement (WAM) is our signature health and physical education program. Through WAM, we ensure that every student builds a foundation for life-long fitness and wellness, including mental health, nutrition and mindfulness.
