For students in kindergarten through grade 3, our capoeira program is taught by experienced capoeira master Eduardo Areias and cultivates gross motor skills, rhythm, discipline, cultural awareness, and self-expression.

Mandarin Chinese

Chinese culture and the Mandarin language
For grades 2–12, we offer Mandarin Chinese classes for all levels, taught by our partners at Escola Sao Confúcio. Students develop skills across reading, writing, speaking, and listening while learning from classic texts and the Chinese philosophical tradition.

Coding

Developing fluency in the language of code
For students in grades 1–8, our after-school coding program teaches logical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration. The program is taught by Supergeeks, the world’s first and leading school of robotics and programming for children and teens, founded in Silicon Valley in 2012.

Our jiu-jitsu program is taught by Companhia Paulista, a historic jiu-jitsu team and academy founded in São Paulo in 1980, known for top fighters like Eduardo Santoro and Carlos Vieira. The program is offered to students in grades 1–12, in sessions grouped by age.

Provided by our partners at School of Broadway, our program immerses students in the world of performance with professional music teachers and workshops with renowned artists. Offered to students in grades 3–5, the program develops skills in singing, acting, dancing, and interpretation.

Daily learning and development through play
Our PlayLab program is provided by our partners at Conexão Lúdica, experts in the use of play–including games, sports, and specialized supervision–to promote learning and development in a joyful and engaging way. The program is offered daily to students in nursery through grade 5.

Expert instruction in soccer from nursery up
Our soccer program teaches teamwork, coordination, and discipline. The nursery and pre-k program is taught by Little Kickers, experts in early childhood soccer instruction. From kindergarten through grade 5, the program is taught by qualified instructors from Rent A Pro, Brazil’s leading sports advisory.

SCHOOL BREAK PROGRAMS
A chance to unplug from screens and engage with nature
Offered twice a year, in January and June–July, our school break programs provide weeklong courses of enriching hands-on learning. Open to all students aged 3–11, our camps combine joyful outdoor experiences with project-based learning in a 100% English language environment.
CAMPUS EXCHANGE
Life and learning at Avenues New York
A global learning experience unique to Avenues, campus exchange enables students in grades 4 and 5 to travel to New York and spend time learning at Avenues’ second campus. Students work with their peers on projects, build cross-cultural friendships, and enjoy immersion in New York City life.
