Fostering problem-solving in creative computation

In the Lower Division at Avenues New York, students use technology to solve problems and build their own projects in creative computation class. As a 1st grade teacher says “Whenever we bring out the iPads, it’s to make the learning purposeful.”

SÃO PAULO

Space to innovate and invent

In the Secondary Division at Avenues São Paulo, students used Apple software and invention kits from Makey Makey to create musical instruments out of recycled materials. After tapping into the creative possibilities of coding, they expanded the project, transforming the school’s staircase into a giant piano.
