Avenues Students Tackle Water Safety

Avenues students are encouraged to identify issues that are meaningful to them and to make lasting change in the community around us. One such global issue Avenues students tackled is lead in our water. In this interdisciplinary project, 9th graders designed, constructed and shared a cost-efficient way for New York homes to test their water supply.
