Interdisciplinary Curriculum

Our Great Works program is a robust, interdisciplinary course where students complete projects integrating English, history, science, and art coursework, earning one credit in each discipline. Curated texts, typically 12 – 16 books each year, complement projects and provide frameworks for engaging thoughtfully with global topics and year-long themes.

Problem-Based Math

Modeled on materials from Phillips Exeter Academy, our problem-based mathematics curriculum emphasizes collaboration and communication. Students use interactive notebooks for dynamic feedback and discussions, fostering a deep appreciation of mathematical thinking and its applications. Exceptional students can apply to our Institute for Advanced Mathematics.

World Languages

Global Passport, our task-based language curriculum, accelerates language acquisition through real-world practice. Students choose from eight languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish.

Belonging and Wellbeing

Our supportive environment fosters deep connections within a caring community. Programs like the deans program, mentorship, Wellness and Movement (WAM), and a thoughtfully designed school calendar help students achieve a healthy balance. Milestone Weeks, during which formal coursework is suspended, allow students to reflect, recharge, and iterate on projects.

Experiential Learning

Experiential Learning Opportunities (ELOs) push students beyond their comfort zones. They collaborate with local community partners or participate in on-campus workshops, solving real-world problems and expanding their worldviews through authentic experiences.

Mastery Program

Our Mastery program empowers students to pursue their passions through student-led projects, selected readings, mentor support, and timely feedback. Past projects include creating a high school law review, building a PC, writing a novel, programming a video game, and more.

College Counseling

Starting in 10th grade, students receive personalized college counseling from their deans, ensuring guidance in course selection, standardized testing, and the college application process. Our graduates can be found thriving at well-chosen colleges and universities around the world.
