KINDLY NOTE
As an entirely tuition-funded school, Avenues does not assess additional fees or seek contributions for items such as athletics, building or capital funds, scholarships, or initiation costs. With the exception of optional supplementary fees—such as for the school café, after-school enrichment programs, summer camps, local and international travel programs, sports tournaments, and transportation to and from school—there are no additional costs beyond tuition.
FINANCIAL AID AT AVENUES
Support with tuition fees
We encourage you to consider Avenues even if you think you cannot afford the full cost of tuition, as you may qualify for financial aid.
We offer two kinds of financial assistance. First, we provide partial need-based financial aid to families for whom full tuition would present a financial challenge. Second, we provide substantial scholarships (covering up to 98% of tuition) through Care, our social scholarship program. You can learn more about both below.

Why do we offer financial aid?
We seek to build a diverse student body and–in the words of our mission statement–to be “humble about our gifts and generous of spirit.” We want to make an Avenues education a reality for all families drawn to our mission and vision.

About our partial education financial aid program
We offer need-based partial financial aid from Small World through 12th grade for families for whom full tuition would present a financial challenge. Awards are granted annually through a confidential application and review process conducted by a designated committee that considers each family’s overall financial profile.
While financial need is the primary consideration, our financial aid program also supports the school’s mission to foster a diverse and inclusive learning community. In alignment with institutional priorities, the school may take into account additional contextual factors that contribute to the diversity of our community, including families from historically underrepresented backgrounds and those whose professional, cultural, or personal experiences bring meaningful perspectives to the school environment—such as expatriates, repatriates, educators, health professionals, exceptional talents, social-impact entrepreneurs, and artists.
Our admissions team is here to support you as you explore options available to make an Avenues education a reality for your family. Please reach out with any questions about the application process to financialassistance@avenues-sp.org.

ANY QUESTIONS?
Frequently asked questions
Our admissions team stands ready to answer any additional questions you may have that are not answered below.
Is educational financial aid available for expenses beyond tuition?
Students enrolled in our Care social scholarship program may receive support for certain non-tuition expenses, including uniforms, transportation, extracurricular activities, school trips, event participation, college application costs, and related educational needs.
Support for non-tuition expenses is exclusively available to families participating in the Care program. Families receiving partial educational financial aid or full scholarships for children of Avenues faculty and staff are not eligible for these additional benefits.

How is financial need assessed? Is there an income cutoff?
Financial need is assessed holistically and takes into account a range of factors, including—but not limited to—the number of children in the family and how many attend tuition-based schools; additional dependents; all sources of income, assets, and liabilities; and significant expenses such as housing, transportation, educational costs, and unreimbursed medical expenses.
Because each family’s circumstances are reviewed individually, there is no fixed income cutoff for financial aid eligibility.

Is partial educational financial aid renewed each year?
Families must reapply for educational financial aid annually by submitting updated forms and supporting documentation. When a family’s financial circumstances remain relatively consistent from one year to the next, Avenues typically seeks to offer a comparable level of support.
Continued eligibility for financial aid is also contingent upon the student remaining in good academic standing.
Continued eligibility for financial aid is also contingent upon the student remaining in good academic standing.
Is partial educational financial aid available to all qualified families?
Requests for educational financial aid may exceed available resources. As a result, Avenues may consider institutional enrollment priorities—such as class size, gender balance, and socioeconomic diversity—when making financial aid decisions.
When and how should an application for partial educational financial aid be made?
Families must indicate their intention to apply for educational financial aid at the time they submit the admissions application. All required forms and supporting documentation must be submitted by the stated deadlines. If you have questions, please contact the admissions team at financialassistance@avenues-sp.org.
Important: Applications for the Care Social Scholarship Program for the 2026–27 school year (starting in August 2026) will open in March 2026. For questions related specifically to Care, please contact care@avenues-sp.org.

Do partial educational financial aid have to be repaid?
No. Educational financial aid is awarded as a grant and does not require repayment.
If parents are divorced, separated, or never married, who must submit financial information?
Both parents are required to submit full financial disclosures. In assessing financial need, Avenues considers the income, assets, and obligations of both parents and is not bound by separation or divorce agreements, or by a parent’s stated unwillingness to contribute.
It is the responsibility of the custodial parent to request that the non-custodial parent complete and submit all required forms and documentation.

If a student is enrolled without partial educational financial aid, may the family request it the following year?
Yes. Families may apply for educational financial aid during a future application cycle by submitting the required forms and documentation. However, except in cases of an unforeseen financial hardship, students who have been enrolled for fewer than two years are generally not eligible for financial aid.
