How do young students build confidence, communication, and a sense of belonging as part of their daily learning experience?

At Avenues, Flag Time is a core practice in our lower primary classrooms. In this daily moment, students share their ideas, reflect on their experiences, and engage with their peers, building confidence, strengthening communication, and developing a sense of community from an early age.

In this session, you will::

• Observe a live classroom moment and see how Flag Time happens in practice
• Understand how this approach supports student voice, confidence, and community
• Reflect on the learning process and engage in a guided discussion
• Ask your questions about Avenues and our approach

08:00–08:30 a.m. – Welcome coffee, catered specially for this day
08:30–09:00 a.m. – Introduction and Flag Time experience
09:00–09:30 a.m. – Classroom observation
09:30–10:00 a.m. – Debrief and Q&A session
10:00–10:30 a.m. – Campus tours led by student ambassadors (optional)
