Os Primeiros: The Avenues 10th Grade São Paulo + New York Semester will be driven by an innovative and rigorous curriculum designed to engage and prepare students to become leaders of the Avenues São Paulo campus upon its opening in August 2018. The five-month semester will consist of focused modules and interdisciplinary study, so that students may build on core academic skills while developing deep understandings of big ideas.
Os Primeiros’ campus will be in the new headquarters of Civi-Co, an exciting social innovation incubator, where entrepreneurs are establishing new companies for the public good . With interiors designed by Dante Della Manna, this beautiful and creative workspace will be the home of social entrepreneurs building new ideas and ventures for the public good. Os Primeiros students will work alongside them in dedicated classrooms and studios designed to facilitate project-based learning and collaboration.
In partnership with Treehouse – Educação ao Ar Livre, students will expand their learning environments into the city and throughout Brazil as they explore essential questions in the curriculum.
In their culminating session, São Paulo students will apply their learning alongside students at the Avenues New York campus. During this visit, students will also have the opportunity to visit colleges and explore options in higher education.
