Laura Eshbaugh serves as Avenues’ senior advisor. Laura has extensive experience in education and media. Working with Benno Schmidt and Chris Whittle, she was part of the founding team for Edison Schools (now EdisonLearning), where she served for 15 years in a variety of areas ranging from capital formation to corporate communications. Earlier, she spent more than 20 years with Whittle Communications, where at various times she managed all editorial operations, oversaw research and product development, handled public affairs and served as vice chairman.

Laura received a B.A. from the University of Tennessee and an M.A. from the University of Florida.
