As global director of strategy and campus development, Min Kim is responsible for supporting Avenues’ global expansion strategy as well as ensuring the successful planning and launch of new campuses.
Min joined Avenues in 2015 as global director of strategy and campus development. In this role she is responsible for supporting Avenues’ global expansion strategy as well as ensuring the successful planning and launch of new campuses.
Min has more than 20 years of strategy and operations experience, including 10 years in the education sector. Prior to joining Avenues, she was the senior vice president of operations at Teach For America, responsible for supporting the training, support and development of the 4,000 new teachers who joined the corps annually. Min also led the restructuring of the human resources division at the New York City Department of Education, developing human capital processes and core systems affecting more than 150,000 teachers and staff members.
In her current capacity, Min also draws upon the strategic and financial analysis skills she developed during her combined 10 years of experience as a strategy consultant and financial analyst with L.E.K. Consulting and Merrill Lynch, where she advised clients on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions and portfolio management.
Min earned her B.A. from Wellesley College. The mission of Avenues is especially close to Min’s heart as she is herself the product of a global education, having grown up in seven countries in Asia, Europe and North and South America.
